How do I turn on 2-step verification?

Learn how to set up and manage 2-step verification in Goldie to protect your account when signing in from a new or unrecognized device.

2-step verification adds an extra layer of security to your Goldie account by sending you a text message code whenever you sign in on a new or unrecognized device.

Turning On 2-Step Verification


To set up 2-step verification in Goldie, go to Menu (☰) → My account → tap (…) → Security.

On the Security screen, your current protection status is shown. Tap Turn on 2-step verification to get started.

Goldie will send a 4-digit code via SMS to the phone number on your account. Enter the code on the Phone verification screen. You have 3 minutes before it expires. If you don't receive the code in time, tap Resend code to request a new one.

Once the code is confirmed, your account is protected. From this point on, you'll only be asked to enter a code when signing in from a new or unrecognized device.

Note: If you don't have a phone number added to your account yet, you'll be prompted to add one before you can enable 2-step verification. Go to Menu (☰) → My account → User details to add your phone number.

Turning Off 2-Step Verification


To turn off 2-step verification in Goldie, go to Menu (☰) → My account → tap (…) → Security.

Tap Turn off 2-step verification and confirm when prompted. Goldie will send a verification code to your phone number to make sure it's you. Enter the code to complete the process.

Signing In on a New Device


When 2-step verification is active, and you sign in from a new or unrecognized device, Goldie will automatically send a verification code to your phone number. Enter the code to complete sign-in that device will be remembered going forward.

If you close the app before finishing verification, you'll need to sign in and verify again on your next attempt.
