How to sell prepaid Packages in Goldie

Learn how to create, sell, and manage Packages in Goldie — prepaid bundles of a single service that clients pay for once and use across future visits.

Packages let you sell a single service as a set of prepaid visits — clients pay once up front, and each booking counts down until their visits run out. It's a simple way to get paid in advance and keep clients coming back.

Requirements:

Plan: Pro and Pro Plus

What is a Package?

A Package is a prepaid bundle of one service sold a set number of times — for example, five haircuts bought together at a discount. The client pays once, and every time they book that service, one visit is used until the Package runs out. Unlike a Gift Card, which holds a cash balance that can be spent on anything, a Package covers a specific service for a specific number of visits.

You can sell Packages both in person and online, and each covered visit is automatically applied at $0 when the client books.

Where to Find Packages

To open Packages in Goldie, go to Menu (☰) → Add-ons → Packages.

The Packages tab sits under Add-ons in the left menu. The first time you open it, you'll see a short intro screen — tap Create first package to get started. Selling Packages requires a Pro plan, and Payments must be turned on before you can take a purchase.

Create a Package

On the Packages screen, tap the + button to open the New package screen. Fill in the following details:

Name — what the Package is called (for example, "5 Men's Haircuts").

Service — choose one service the Package covers. Only a single service can be selected per Package.

Quantity — how many visits the Package includes. This defaults to 5 and can be set anywhere from 2 to 99.

Price — the total price the client pays for the Package. Goldie compares this to the service's normal total (service price × quantity) and shows the discount your client is getting.

Expiration — how long the Package stays valid. It defaults to 12 months. The countdown starts on the purchase date, and any unused visits expire when it ends.

Package policy — the terms your client agrees to when buying the Package.

There's also an Available online toggle, which is on by default. Turn it off to sell the Package in person only. If the chosen service isn't available online, this toggle is greyed out.

Sell a Package

In Person

Open a Package from the Packages screen and tap Add to cart, then check out as you would for any other sale. Payments must be enabled to complete the purchase. No booking fee is applied when a client buys a Package.

Online

When Available online is turned on, clients can buy the Package themselves. Each Package has its own purchase link you can copy and share, and Packages you make available also appear on your booking site so clients can buy without any back-and-forth.

How Clients Use a Package

Once a client owns a Package with visits remaining, it's applied automatically the next time that service is booked. On the appointment, the covered service shows a Covered by package label with a price of $0, and one visit is used when the appointment is saved.

You can still take the appointment to checkout to add a tip or charge for anything not covered by the Package. If you remove the Package from an appointment, the service returns to its normal price and the visit is added back.

When a client buys online, they're guided straight to booking their first visit, with the covered service already selected and the amount due shown as $0.

Track Packages and Sales

Each client's purchased Packages appear on their profile under a Packages tab, where you can see how many visits are left (for example, "2/5 LEFT") or whether a Package has been fully used. Opening a Package shows its history, including the visits used, any extensions to the expiration date, and who purchased it.

To see how your Packages are performing overall, open the Sales history from the Packages screen. It shows your total sales, total purchases, and the number purchased online.

Edit or Delete a Package

Open a Package and use the menu to Edit its details or Delete it. Deleting a Package means it can no longer be purchased, but clients who already bought it can still use their remaining visits.
