Note: Some customers are experiencing an issue where the sign-in with Goldie step errors out and does not load. We are actively working with Meta on this issue but there is currently no timeline for the issue to be fixed.
Goldie is integrated with Facebook (and Instagram) so that you can add a "Book Now" button on your business's Facebook page that is integrated with your online booking site from Goldie.
You can connect to a Book Now button using either your phone or computer. Both options follow the same steps, which are outlined below.
Follow the steps below to connect Goldie to a Facebook Book Now button:
- Open the Facebook app, and navigate to your business's page (note: you must be viewing the page from an account that has editing access)
- Tap the button with 3 dots, which will be by the other buttons at the top of your page
- Select the option to "Edit Action Button"
- Tap "Edit buttons"
- Under the "How people support you" section, check the box next to the "Book Now" option.
- Then, choose "Connect another tool"
- Scroll down the alphabetical list and tap on "Goldie (Appointfix)"
- Tap "Continue" after you're presented with the permissions -- these simply lay out what access Goldie needs to help you schedule appointments
- Tap "Follow link" to be redirected to Goldie's login page (which is a page outside of Facebook, hence this page)
- Log into your Goldie account using your email and password (*see note below if you log into Goldie using Apple/Google/Facebook)
- Confirm your identity by tapping "Continue as [your name]"
- You're done! Head back to your business page to confirm that the Book Now button has been added.
Once you've connected your Book Now button, you'll be able to turn your followers into customers! We recommend testing the connection to confirm it's working properly.
*If you logged into Goldie using a sign-in method that doesn't require a password (Apple, Facebook, Google), you'll need to add a password to your account before you can connect it to Facebook. You can set a password for your account by taking the following steps:
- Going to menu > Account (it will show your name/email)
- Tapping "Add password"
- Entering and confirming your password
Note that the email address you should use is the one associated with your account, which will appear beneath your name on the Menu.
