Requirements:
Minimum Goldie app version: 49.0.0
Plan: Pro and Pro Plus
With Goldie, you can now add Service Add-ons. Think of add-ons as extras that clients can choose in addition to your primary services, either when booking online or when creating an appointment in the app.
1. What are Add-ons?
Add-ons are not separate services, but enhancements to the services you already provide.
👉 Example:
A Haircut might have add-ons like Shampoo & scalp massage or Beard trim.
A Massage might have add-ons like Hot stones or Aromatherapy.
A Manicure could offer Nail art or Paraffin treatment.
Clients see them as options they can quickly add to their appointment, making their booking experience smoother.
2. Where to Find Add-ons in Goldie
You can manage add-ons from the left-hand menu in the Goldie app. Under Services, you’ll now see a new section called Add-ons.
3. Getting Started
3.1 Add-ons Landing Page
When you open the Add-ons section for the first time, tap Create add-ons to start.
What happens next depends on your subscription:
Pro/Pro Plus users (new) → Go straight to the New Add-on screen.
Pro/Pro Plus users (existing) → You’ll be invited to convert old services into add-ons.
The prompt will appear until the first add-on is created. Once the add-on is created, the prompt will no longer appear.
3.2 Converting Old Services into Add-ons
Many professionals created “extra services” in Goldie just to act as add-ons.
Now, you can officially convert them:
Tap Convert existing services.
Select the services you want to transform.
Confirm the conversion.
Important: Once converted, these services will be moved to the Add-ons section and will no longer appear in your Services list. This action cannot be undone.
3.3 Creating a New Add-on
When creating a new add-on, you can fully customize it:
Name – e.g., “Scalp massage”
Description – Optional, but great for explaining the benefit
Photo – Optional, makes it more attractive for clients
Price – Default is $0 (set a fixed price, no percentage or deposits)
Duration – Default is 15 minutes (can be set to 0)
Assign to services – Select which services this add-on can be applied t
💡 Tip: Add-ons must be assigned to at least one service to appear in online booking.
3.4 Link Add-ons from Services
When creating your services, Add-ons must be linked to one or more services to appear in online booking. When you assign an add-on (e.g., Hot stones) to a service (e.g., Massage), clients will only see that add-on when booking the related service.
4. How Clients See Add-ons in Online Booking
Add-ons fit seamlessly into the online booking flow:
Clients select a main service (e.g., “Haircut”).
If add-ons are available, they’ll see a “+ Add-ons available” note.
On the next step, clients can browse and select add-ons.
This makes upselling natural and effortless, while giving clients the feeling of customizing their own experience.
5. Using Add-ons in the Goldie App
You can also manage add-ons directly in your app workflows:
Appointments – When creating or editing, just tap to add or remove add-ons.
Checkout – Add-ons are shown clearly under each service with their price and tax.
6. Add-ons reports
With add-ons, you’ll also see updates in your Reports section. This helps you track how much extra income they generate.
Appointment Reports → Add-ons are listed under their main service. Each add-on has its own price, duration, and tax line, so you can see the full breakdown of what was sold.
Client Reports → Add-ons appear under the client’s appointment history, giving you insight into their preferences. For example, you’ll know if a client often adds Nail art to a manicure.
Revenue Tracking → Add-on earnings are included in your totals, so you can measure the impact of upsells on your overall business performance.
Important Notes:
Add-ons do not support deposits, just like Products.
Discounts in online booking don’t apply to add-ons. But custom discounts in the app apply to the whole appointment total, including add-ons.
Staff assigned to the main service will automatically perform the add-on.
