AI Assistant Receptionist

AI Assistant Receptionist helps Goldie users review and manage client text messages with AI-suggested actions

Updated this week

Requirements:

Minimum Goldie App version:

Plan: Pro and Pro Plus

Countries in which two-way-texting is available

This feature is currently in testing. Behavior, accuracy, and interface elements may change as improvements are made. We recommend reviewing all AI-suggested actions before confirming them.

The AI Assistant Receptionist (BETA) is designed to assist Goldie users in handling incoming client text messages more efficiently. It analyzes client replies, identifies intent, and suggests appropriate responses or actions related to appointments.

The AI Assistant does not act independently. All suggested actions and replies must be reviewed and approved by the user before being applied or sent to the client.

How to enable AI receptionist

The AI Assistant Receptionist can be enabled and configured from within the Goldie app:

  • Open Menu (☰)

  • Navigate to Settings

  • Select AI Receptionist

  • Tap on the enable toggle

Where to Access the AI Assistant Receptionist

The chat section has been moved on top of the calendar, and the AI Receptionist will act as your assistant directly in the chat

  • From your calendar, tap on the Chat icon between notifications and calendar options

  • Tap the conversation, then tap "Let Goldie AI reply."

How Message Processing Works

When a client sends or replies to a text message, the AI Assistant evaluates the content to determine the client’s intent. This typically occurs in response to appointment reminders or follow-up messages.

The AI processes the message and generates one of the following outcomes:

  • A suggested booking action

  • A suggested reply

  • No suggestion, if intent cannot be confidently determined

No automatic changes are made without user approval.

Supported Message Intents

The AI Assistant Receptionist can recognize common client intents, including:

  • Appointment confirmation

    • Example: “Yes, I’ll be there”

  • Appointment cancellation

    • Example: “I need to cancel”

  • Rescheduling requests

    • Example: “Can we move this to tomorrow?”

  • General questions

    • Example: “Do you have availability this week?”

Messages that are unclear or contain multiple requests may require manual handling.

Suggested Actions and Responses

For messages with a recognized intent, the AI Assistant provides a suggested next step. These suggestions appear as recommendations and require manual confirmation.

Suggestions may include:

  • Marking an appointment as confirmed

  • Canceling an appointment

  • Proposing a new time

  • Sending a pre-written response for review

You can:

  • Accept the suggestion

  • Edit the suggested response

  • Ignore the suggestion and respond manually

Notifications and Review Workflow

All AI-interpreted messages appear in the Notifications section of the Goldie app. Each notification includes:

  • The original client message

  • The detected intent

  • The suggested action or response

From the notification, you can take immediate action or open the conversation for manual handling.

Beta Limitations and Important Notes

During the BETA phase, you should be aware of the following limitations:

  • The AI does not send messages automatically

  • Suggestions may not always reflect the client's intent accurately

  • Complex or informal language may reduce interpretation accuracy

  • Manual review is required for all suggested actions

Users are encouraged to verify all AI recommendations before confirming.

Feedback and Improvements

Feedback collected during the BETA phase is used to improve accuracy, usability, and overall reliability. Users may be prompted to provide feedback directly in the app after interacting with AI-generated suggestions.

Reporting incorrect interpretations or missing intents helps refine future versions of the AI Assistant Receptionist.
