How to Set Up the WisePad 3 Goldie Card Reader

Accept card payments with the Goldie WisePad 3 Card Reader. Easy setup, fast checkout.

For our Goldie users in the UK and CA, the Goldie WisePad 3 Card Reader seamlessly integrates with the Goldie app, enabling terminal connections and payment processing.

How it works:


To use this payment method, tap the appointment, then tap "checkout." The Goldie Card Reader appears as a new payment method on the Payment screen.

If you are using the card reader for the first time, you will be guided through a setup process via an intuitive wizard. This ensures a smooth transition to using the new feature.

Once the process is complete, the payment process is user-friendly: simply hold the card or phone to initiate payment, and the app will indicate whether the transaction was successful or failed.

Steps to purchase the Card Reader:

  1. Click this link to go to the purchase page

  2. Login Requirement: You will need to log in to match your purchase with your business account, ensuring a secure and personalized experience.

  3. Shipping Information: The purchase page collects shipping and billing addresses, as well as an email address for shipping notifications.

Connecting the Card Reader


  1. To use the terminal, you must connect a card reader terminal to your device.

  2. On the Payment screen, the Goldie card reader option will be presented as a new payment method.

  3. For first-time use, a Set Up Wizard will guide the user through the connection process.

Alternatively, you can navigate to Menu > Settings > Payments, tap the gear icon, and select Setup Goldie Card Reader to pair the reader.

Set Up Wizard Process:


  1. Activate Bluetooth - Ensure that the device’s Bluetooth is on and not connected to any other card reader.

  2. Power up your reader - Press the Power/Gear icon to turn on the reader using the charging cable or power button.

  3. Tap on the Checkout button and select "Goldie card reader" - The quick setup guide will appear. Tap Continue, and the Goldie app will start pairing with the new WisePad 3 reader.

  1. Connecting - The system connects to the reader, and you will need to accept the pairing with the WisePad 3 reader

  2. Checking for updates - Searches for available software updates for the card reader.

  3. Updating software - Users are advised not to turn off Goldie or Bluetooth during this step.

  4. Confirmation - A final screen confirms that the card reader is connected and ready for use.

Payment Process


When you select the Goldie card reader option on the Payment screen, you can process payments by swiping, inserting, or tapping the card on the reader. The app communicates to you whether the payment succeeded or failed.
