Adjust Working hours for a set period

Learn how to set temporary working hours for a date range, and how your regular hours resume automatically when the period ends.

With Goldie, you can now set different working hours for an entire date range, and your regular hours return automatically once that period ends.

If you only need to change one day, see How do I set flexible hours on my calendar?

To set the regular weekly schedule this feature is based on, see How do I set my working days and hours?

Where to Find Temporary Working Hours

In the Working hours section of your profile, or a team member you manage, there's a new Temporary working hours section with two choices.

To open your working hours in Goldie, go to Menu (☰) → My account → User Details.

Or from your calendar, tap on the upper-right icon and tap on "Adjust working hours for a specific day or for a period"

Change hours for a period adjusts your working hours for several days or weeks, with regular hours resuming automatically afterward.

It opens the new Temporary working hours screen.

Change hours for a day adjusts your working hours on one specific day only. This works the same as before and opens the working hours screen for that day.

Setting Hours for a Period

The Temporary working hours screen starts with a Date range — a Start date and an End date. This is the period when you want to use different hours.

Underneath, Hours during this range is where you set the schedule itself. It starts out matching your regular weekly schedule, so you only need to change the days and times that are actually different.

Adding intervals and marking a day as non-working work the same way as they do for your regular hours. Tap Save when you're done.

You can have one temporary period at a time. To cover a different stretch of dates, edit the period you already have or delete it first.

Editing or Deleting a Period

Once you've saved, the Temporary working hours section shows a card with the dates you set — for example, Temporary hours: Sep 7–Sep 18, with Regular hours resume Sep 19 underneath. Tapping the card reopens the screen so you can change the dates or the hours, or remove the period entirely.

Deleting asks you to confirm first. Delete temporary hours? tells you that your regular working hours will apply again for those dates, and you can choose Cancel or Delete.

When the Period Ends

You don't need to do anything to switch back. Once the end date has passed, your regular working hours apply again and the temporary period is removed automatically, so the card disappears from your profile.

Setting a Period for a Team Member

If you have more than one staff member and permission to manage staff, choosing to change hours for a period first opens a Select staff screen.

It lists your team the same way the Staff section does, and anyone who already has a period set shows Temporary hours with their dates underneath, so you can see at a glance who's on a temporary schedule and open theirs to edit it.

To review who can manage staff in Goldie, go to Menu (☰) → Settings → Staff permissions.

Staff members without that permission, and single-user accounts, never see this screen; they go straight to their own hours.

What Else Changes While a Period Is Active

Your temporary hours are what clients see when they book online, so your availability stays accurate for the whole range without any extra step.

Show Only the Work Schedule on the Calendar

Setting a period temporarily turns off Show only the work schedule on the calendar, just like adjusting a single day does. You'll see: Setting temporarily disabled until [date] due to an adjustment of the regular working hours, where that date is the day after your period ends.

Changing One Day Inside the Period

If you adjust the hours for a single day that falls inside your period, that day wins. The rest of the range keeps the temporary hours you set.
