When you raise or lower the fixed price of a service, appointments already booked at the old price stay as they are unless you say otherwise. Goldie now asks you which way you want it, right after you save.
When You'll Be Asked
After you save a new fixed price for a service, Goldie checks whether that service appears on any appointment starting later that day or beyond. If it finds at least one, a prompt appears asking whether the new price should apply to those bookings too.
If none of your upcoming appointments include that service, the price change will simply be saved, and you won't see anything.
To edit a service in Goldie, go to Menu (☰) → Services.
You'll need permission to edit services to see this prompt. For help setting a service up in the first place, see How do I create services?
Choosing What Happens
The prompt is titled "Update upcoming appointments" and shows the service's new price, how many upcoming appointments were booked at the previous price, and the previous price. It counts appointments in the next 12 months.
You have two choices:
Update [number] appointments — the new price is applied to those upcoming appointments and their totals are recalculated.
Keep booked prices — every appointment already on your calendar stays at its booked price, and the new price applies only to appointments made from now on.
Closing the prompt with the X does the same thing as Keep booked prices, so nothing changes by accident.
If you're offline when the prompt appears, you'll see a note that your choice will be applied once you reconnect. You can still pick either option.
Appointments That Are Never Changed
Some appointments are left alone, regardless of which option you pick — they aren't counted in the number shown and aren't updated. This protects prices you or your client have already agreed on.
Prices You Adjusted Yourself
If the service price for an appointment was changed manually or set by a per-staff price, that appointment keeps its own price.
Discounted Appointments
If a discount affected the price of the service on that appointment — including a loyalty discount — the appointment is left as it is.
Services Covered by a Package
When the service on an appointment is covered by a package, its price isn't touched.
Recurring Appointments
Appointments that are part of a recurring series are never counted or updated.
Because of this, the number of appointments in the prompt may be smaller than the total number of upcoming bookings that include the service — that's expected.
