Appointment Reports vs. Payment Reports

Learn the difference between the Appointments report, based on booked prices, and the Payments report, based on money actually collected.

Requirements

Plans: Pro and Pro Plus

Payments report: Goldie Payments enabled

Goldie gives you two ways to view your revenue: what your appointments are worth and what you've actually been paid. Knowing which is which helps you read your numbers correctly.

To view these reports in Goldie, go to Menu (☰) → Reports.

Appointments Report

The Appointments report is based on the prices of the services and products in your appointments, using the appointment date. It counts upcoming, confirmed, and completed appointments. It doesn't include no-shows or cancellations in the total, but it counts them in the stats card.

It also breaks down your revenue and time spent by staff, service, and product. The staff breakdown is available on plans with multiple staff members. Use this report to see the value of your bookings and how you use your time.

Payments Report

The Payments report is based on transactions: the money actually charged and collected, using each transaction date. It includes deposits, payments, refunds, and product sales, regardless of appointment status.

It shows your Balance by payment method, your tips, sales tax, and a breakdown by staff. On Pro Plus, it also shows a Profit & Loss area with your Net profit. Use this report to see what you've actually earned and compare it with your payouts.

Example

A client books a $100 appointment for April and pays a $20 deposit in March. The Payments report shows $20 in March and the remaining amount when it's paid. The Appointments report shows $100 in April.
