Your Goldie calendar now tells you more at a glance and takes fewer taps to move around. Here's what changed and where to find it. If you're looking for how to switch between Schedule, Day, 3-Day, Week, and Month, see How do I change the calendar view?
Preview a Day Without Leaving Month View
To open your calendar in Goldie, go to Month view. In Month view on your phone, tapping a day now opens a preview of that day in a sheet instead of switching you straight to Day view. The sheet lists that day's appointments in order, and scrolls if there are more than fit on screen. If the day is free, it says No appointments for this day.
Tapping an appointment in the sheet opens its details, and going back returns you to the sheet on the same day.
Open day view stays fixed at the bottom of the sheet, so the full Day view is always one tap away.
+ Add new gives you the same three options as the + button on your calendar — Appointment, Personal event, and Time off — each already filled in with the day you tapped.
Jump Straight to Another Month
Mini-month and Month view now have a month bar you can swipe sideways, so you no longer have to move through the calendar one month at a time. You can travel up to 10 years forward or back, and the year appears between months as a marker.
Tapping a month loads the calendar below it, starting on the 1st of that month. This is available on your phone.
Pick a Date Faster When Setting a Time
On the Set date and time screen, a calendar icon in the top right opens the mini-month on the month you're already looking at. Choose a date there and it's applied straight to the picker — useful when the date you want is weeks away and scrolling week by week is slow.
The first time you open this screen after updating, a short tip points the icon out to you. It won't show again once dismissed.
New Icons on Your Appointments
Day, 3-Day, and Week views now show two extra icons on an appointment, so you can read its state without opening it.
Paid
A $ icon marks appointments that are fully paid, both upcoming and past. It doesn't appear on appointments where only a deposit or part of the total has been paid.
Notes
A notes icon marks any appointment that has a note on it. Icons fill up to two lines on an appointment so your client's name stays readable, even in Week view. When there isn't room for all of them, the less important ones are dropped first. Month view doesn't show icons.
Past appointments now also sit on a darker background, so finished work is easy to tell apart from what's still ahead of you.
Canceled and No-show Appointments Stay Visible
Canceled and no-show appointments used to disappear from your calendar, so you had to open a client's profile to see what had happened. They now stay where they were, marked with a border and a status icon, in every calendar view.
The time slot still reopens for online booking, so keeping the appointment in view costs you nothing. The confirmation message you see when marking an appointment reflects this: "The appointment stays on your calendar marked as Canceled, but the time slot reopens for online booking."
Your Options on a Canceled or No-show Appointment
Tapping one opens a short menu:
See appointment details — opens the appointment as usual.
Hide it from the calendar — removes it from your calendar views.
This applies only to the device you're using, so it won't disappear for the rest of your team. The appointment still appears in the client's profile, and hidden appointments are left out of your reports.
Create new appointment — starts a new appointment already set to that date and time, with no client filled in, so you can offer the slot to someone else.
The day preview sheet, the month bar, and the date picker are available on iOS and Android. The appointment icons and canceled/no-show appointments are available on iOS, Android, and the Web App.
