How can I add extra time or processing time when setting appointments?

Goldie lets you to accurately account for the nuances of certain types of appointments you may offer by offering the ability to add “Extra time” or “Processing time” to any of your services. Here’s how you can use each to optimize your calendar/schedule:

  • Extra time — this option adds additional time (you can set how long) after a specific type of service/appointment to account for the time you may need to clean, set up for your next client, etc. The additional time won’t show up to the client as part of their appointment time but will appear on your calendar and not be available via your online booking site.

  • Processing time — this option extends an appointment for a customizable amount of time, during which you as a service provider will be available but which your client will be occupied for. An example would be a haircut + color service, where the haircut and color application takes 45 minutes, and then the color needs to sit in the client's hair for another 45 minutes (but you, as the stylist, are not working with the client as they wait for the color). By adding the second 45 minutes as processing time, it will appear as part of the client’s appointment duration (i.e., they would see the appointment as being 90 minutes), but the second 45 minutes would show as available for booking on the calendar/online booking site.
