How to set up your Goldie online booking page

Goldie provides you with a customizable online booking page when you create your account. Offering your clients the ability to schedule appointments 24/7 improves their experience and helps grow your business. Goldie doesn't require your clients to download an app or create an account - making booking with you easier than ever.

  1. Start by setting up your services.

To enable your clients to book appointments with you via your online booking, you'll need to let your clients know which services you offer. Clients must select specific service(s) when booking. If you’ve already set up your service list, skip to step 2.

To create a new service, go to Menu (☰) → Services → tap on the “+” button to enter the details of your services. Learn about all the details you can enter for each service in this article.

  2. Personalize your booking site link (URL)

The booking site link is what your clients will click or enter into their internet browsers to go to your online booking page and make an appointment.

Goldie empowers you to personalize your link (as long as you use accepted characters and don't choose a link somebody else is already using).

To edit your online booking website link, go to the Goldie Menu → Settings → Online Booking → Booking preferences.

  3. Edit Business details

Displaying your business details provides potential customers with everything they need to schedule an appointment. Providing relevant information - such as your service offerings, skills, and client testimonials - can help convince people to book with you. Many of these fields are optional, but providing more details creates a more compelling web page for clients!

To include your business details in the app, go to Menu → Settings → Online Booking → Booking Website. You can learn more about all of the business details that you can edit in this article - including setting the hours when your business is open and uploading your logo and image.

  4. Set your “Booking acceptance” options.

Goldie's online booking system gives you the option to automatically accept all appointment requests or to manually accept/decline them. Our software makes sure you stay in control of your calendar.

As a default setting, all online bookings made by your customers will be automatically accepted. To edit this setting at any time, tap on Menu → Settings → Online Booking → Booking Preferences Bookings acceptance.

  5. Set your booking/cancellation policy.

You can set your own terms for when customers can reschedule or cancel an appointment, which will be displayed to your clients when they book using your online page. Many small business owners choose to require a 48-hour minimum notice to ensure that they can keep their calendars full.

Goldie also lets you control how far in the future clients can schedule appointments and how close to an appointment's start time they can schedule it (typically 1-2 hours ahead of time).

Set your booking/cancellation policy by going to Menu → Settings → Online Booking → Booking Preferences Cancellation Policy.

To make your booking/cancellation policy even more powerful, subscribe to Goldie's Pro or Team plan and set up payment processing so that you can take deposits when clients book. Learn more here.

  6. Choose your Calendar availability settings.

You can choose the time slots available for your clients to book online. You can offer all your time slots for booking or offer only the time slots that are adjacent to (before or after) an existing event - which Goldie calls "Optimized scheduling".

To set your calendar availability, go to Menu → Settings → Online booking → Booking Preferences → Calendar availability.

  7. Share your new booking page link.

Now that you have your own online booking system, it’s important to share the booking page with your clients so that they can start scheduling (and making your workdays easier). Learn how to easily share your booking page in this article.
