How do messages work on Goldie Pro and Team plans?

Pro and Team plan subscribers can use Goldie's fully automated messaging system to easily send reminders or other communications to clients, whether for appointments or marketing efforts. Because these messages are sent by Goldie's system, they come from a generic phone number. Customer replies to such messages will be forwarded to the mobile number associated with your Goldie account.

Both plans include a set number of messages each month, which are used whenever you send or receive a client message. The Pro plan includes 500 messages each month for users in the US, UK, and Canada (200 for other countries), and Team plans include an extra 100 for each additional user (up to 1,000 total in the US/UK/Canada or 700 in other countries). Unused messages are carried over to the following monthly cycle, after which they expire. If you ever run out, it’s easy to buy more messages - learn how in this article.

Subscribers on Pro and Team plans can easily change their settings to send messages directly from their device (as outlined in this article), too. Doing so requires following just a few easy steps:

  1. Open Goldie (and ensure you are logged into your account)

  2. Go to Menu (☰) → Settings → Messages → Sending method (your current sending method will be displayed)

  3. Tap to select your desired method from the two options:
    1. Fully automated via the Goldie text/SMS system — this is the default for Ultimate and Staff plans, as laid out above.
    2. Semi-automated, via your mobile device — this approach sends messages from your device’s native text/SMS system, which has no costs through Goldie.
