Goldie's redesigned search makes it faster to find any client and take action — all from one screen, without extra navigation.
How to Search
To search in Goldie, tap the Menu button (top-left corner) and tap the Search bar.
The keyboard opens automatically so you can start typing right away. Enter a client's first name, last name, or phone number — results appear in real time as you type. You need at least 3 characters to see results.
To clear your search, tap the ✕ button inside the search bar. To close the search screen entirely, tap the X outside the search bar.
Understanding Your Results
Each matching client appears as a single card — regardless of how many appointments they have. Every card shows the client's name, a profile photo (or two-letter initials if no photo is set), and the most relevant appointment information.
Goldie shows the single most relevant appointment for each client:
Next appointment — if the client has an upcoming or confirmed visit, you'll see the date, time, service name, price, and (on Pro Plus multi-staff accounts) the staff member's name. Tap Edit appointment to make changes directly.
Last appointment — if the client has no upcoming visits, you'll see their most recent completed appointment. Tap Book again to create a new appointment pre-filled with the same service, add-ons, and duration — you just pick the date and time.
No appointments yet — if the client has no appointment history at all, their card shows the name and contact icons only, along with an Add appointment button to book their first visit.
Tapping anywhere on the appointment area opens the full appointment details. Tapping the client's name or photo opens their client profile.
Contacting a Client from Search
Every result card includes quick contact icons next to the client's name — no need to open their profile first.
📞 Call — tap to open the native dialer with the client's number pre-filled.
💬 Message — tap to open a chat with the client. If WhatsApp is set up on your device, you'll see options to send via WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, or SMS.
Both icons appear only if the client has a phone number on file. On team plans, these icons are visible only to staff with the View Client Contact Details permission enabled.
When No Clients Are Found
If your search doesn't match any clients, you'll see a "No clients found" message with a suggestion to try a different name. Double-check the spelling or try searching by phone number instead.
