Goldie lets you refund part of a transaction instead of the full amount, and you can issue more than one partial refund on the same transaction until it's fully refunded. For full refunds, see How do I refund a payment to my client?

You can open the Refund screen from two places:

To refund from your dashboard in Goldie, go to Menu (☰) → Payments, expand the transaction, and tap Refund.

On the Refund screen, the amount field shows the transaction's available amount, and you can edit it to refund only part of the transaction. Goldie displays how much remains available to refund. There is no minimum refund amount.

Below the amount, choose how to return the money. Goldie shows the method the payment was made with first. When a payment was made by card, gift card, or outside Goldie, you'll see two options — the original method or Cash. If the payment was made in cash, the refund method section isn't shown. Tap Refund to confirm.

After a partial refund, Goldie shows a Partially refunded label in orange under the transaction on the appointment details screen, and under the client's name on the Payments dashboard. This amount updates with each partial refund, and the label disappears once the whole transaction has been refunded. Each partial refund also appears as a refund entry, shown in red.

Partial refunds work for all payment types except Buy Now, Pay Later. They don't work for unredeemed gift cards, but they do work for services and products that were paid for with a redeemed gift card. You can also partially refund product transactions from the Payments dashboard.
